3-Story Medical Office Building (New Construction) - Fire Alarm, Surveillance System, Burglary Alarm, Guard Paging, and Clinic Room Status Systems

Location: Sante Fe Springs, CA

Fire Alarm System: 214 initiating devices, 186 notification devices, elevator recall, elevator shunt trip, elevator fire curtain activation, Won door activation, fire door activation, fire sprinkler monitoring, smoke/fire damper shutdown, fan unit shutdown.

Surveillance System: 40 cameras, including license plate recognition.

Guard Paging: RF guard paging integrated with alarm system activations.

Burglary Alarm: Three separate burglary alarm systems.

Clinic Status System: Six clinic room status systems with 87 exam rooms.

Paper Mill (Existing Facility) - Fire Alarm System Upgrade and Modernization

Location: Vernon, CA

  • Challenge : The facility featured 28 fire sprinkler risers, and the existing system was prone to false alarms with no capability to pinpoint the alarm source due to outdated technology.
  • Solution : We designed and implemented an addressable system capable of annunciating each alarm location. Our team provided detailed drafts and coordinated with multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
  • Outcome : The project was completed on time and within budget, resulting in a reliable and efficient system for the client.

R3.1 Hospice Home in a Residential Setting (Existing Facility) - Fire Alarm System Upgrade, Video Access Control, Nurse Call System, Surveillance System, and Burglary Alarm System

Location: Whittier, CA

  • Challenge : The project involved navigating complex regulatory requirements to secure timely fire alarm approvals for the demolition and remodel of a hospice facility in a residential setting.
  • Solution : We prepared comprehensive permit drawings and submittal packages that addressed all regulatory concerns and maintained close communication with the AHJ.
  • Outcome : The project received prompt approvals from Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), facilitating a smooth and efficient construction process.
